A successful campaign isn’t just about creativity or strategy—it’s about impact. The Kingston Junior Knights Sledge Hockey Team faced challenges in raising awareness and funds to support their athletes. As part of my Digital Marketing Communications program at St. Lawrence College, I led a project to address these challenges, blending storytelling, design, and strategy to make a difference.

Background: The Kingston Junior Knights is a dedicated team of athletes breaking barriers in adaptive sports. However, they struggled with limited visibility and a lack of sustainable funding. They needed a unified brand identity, an accessible online presence, and tools to connect with donors effectively.

No centralized online platform to share their story or collect donations.

To address these challenges, the project set out to:

Design and launch a website with a donation page.

Develop a promotional video to share their story and inspire action.

Engage the local community through live events and digital outreach.

Created a storytelling-driven video highlighting the Knights' journey, struggles, and triumphs.

Premiered the video at the Kingston Frontenacs vs. Peterborough Petes game.

Supported the team during the Chuck-a-Puck event, which raised donations live at the game.

Donations Collected: $520 of the $15000 in 2 days

Event outreach: Raised maximun this season with the new marketing approach.
